DESCRIPTION:
Join our Payroll team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Payroll Analyst I, where you'll contribute to ensuring accurate and timely compensation for our workforce. In this position, you'll process payroll, manage tax calculations, and provide excellent customer service while working with multiple internal teams and external vendors. You'll handle confidential information with discretion while working in a structured, deadline-oriented environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and participate in various business projects that support our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Preferred Fields of Study: Accounting, Business, Finance
• Payroll certification (preferred)
• Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, and ServiceNow
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• Experience with payroll compliance, tax regulations, and country-specific requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience working with external payroll vendors and third-party service providers
• Additional language capabilities preferred
• Knowledge of leave of absence administration and time-keeping functions
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
• Experience with internal controls and audit processes
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
