Role Summary

Process and distribute payroll for groups as assigned. Enter payroll related data into the payroll/human resource database. Process manual payments as required. Input all variable data including overtime, vacation, sick, bonuses, training pay, and expense payments. Pension administration and responsibility for all other payroll related requirements. Administrative processing of new hires and terminations.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and distribute payroll groups as assigned, within the required timescale.
  • Various payroll duties including but not limited to import of payroll files, training pay, expense reports, bonuses, annual leave, home country tax administration.
  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in payroll records.
  • Research and resolution of employee payroll queries.
  • Off cycle / On Demand payments as required.
  • Enter payroll related data into the payroll/human resource database (banking information, tax elections etc).
  • Action Workday Inbox items such as promotions, demotions, transfers, address changes, etc.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports to Accounting and Treasury.
  • Provide telephone support to departments and rigs to answer payroll related questions.
  • Interface with Human Resources to ensure clarity on employee related information and instructions.
  • Recommends improvements to practices and procedures to further develop consistency and quality.
  • Assistance/participation in projects as requested by the Payroll and Compliance Supervisor.
  • Working knowledge of shadow payroll and host country taxes for those under a tax protection scheme.
  • Open and distribute department email.
  • Distribution of payslips and tax related documents to terminated employees.
  • Submit wire payment requests to Treasury for month end pension and statutory payments.
  • Support Company initiatives within the company.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations are being met per regulations.
  • Create and maintain Payroll policies to ensure most up to date information is available.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by Senior Payroll Assistant / Payroll and Compliance Supervisor and/or Senior Manager - Payroll and Compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) qualification is desired.
  • Previous experience in a payroll role, North Sea experience mandatory and international exposure preferred.
  • Highly organised and responsive, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while working in a complex, challenging environment.
  • HRIS experience, in particular Workday.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Microsoft Office.
