Payroll Officer

• Drive operational excellence by delivering accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with applicable policy, legislation and Enterprise Agreements,
• Be a trusted Payroll Officer providing high‑level advice and administration of the University payroll service to support business units and work areas.
• Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on an ongoing basis.
• Base salary range: $83,212. – $92,231 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the opportunity

• As Payroll Officer you are responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll processing.
• You will provide high-level support, advice and administration of payroll transactional activities to support the day-to-day operations of the University business units and work areas.
• Contribute to a service-orientated culture to deliver operational and service excellence and will contribute within the team to the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

• Substantial relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level in a related role.
• Highly developed organisational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to adapt to change and be flexible.
• Advanced proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) aPay (Ascender Pay) highly desirable.

Special Requirements

• A current National Police Clearance.
• Finance background checks.
