Role Overview:
As a Payroll Officer, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies, and award conditions. You’ll play a key role in supporting both our finance and HR functions with accurate and timely payroll services.
Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly/fortnightly/monthly payroll for circa 1100 employees
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, superannuation, and employment laws
Maintain and update payroll systems and employee records
Prepare payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders
Manage leave entitlements, deductions, and terminations
Respond to payroll-related queries from employees in a timely and professional manner
Liaise with finance and HR to ensure payroll accuracy and efficiency
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in a similar payroll position
Solid knowledge of payroll legislation, tax and other employment pay
High attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
