Payroll Team Leader

POLYFRAME has provided fenestration solutions to the construction industry for over 25 years. Manufacturing PVCu windows and doors from our factory in Lenwade using two of the most trusted PVCu profiles, REHAU and Eurocell, we combine the highest quality materials with our fenestration expertise to ensure our customers receive market leading service and quality.

We now have an exciting opportunity to bring on board a Payroll Team Leader to our Livingston Site.  

As a Payroll Team Leader you will be supporting the payroll processing for businesses within the group, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulations and policies. This role involves team management of 1 other Payroll Advisor, handling pay runs, collaboration with HR and Finance, policy development, issue resolution, and compliance monitoring, contributing to financial stability and employee satisfaction. 

You will be supervising the Payroll Advisor, whilst providing guidance and support in the execution of payroll processes. Preparing payroll runs where necessary, reviewing and verifying payroll inputs, including hours worked, deductions and benefits to ensure accuracy. You will assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures to streamline processes, resolving payroll queries and oversee pension related matters. 

Essential Experience

• Exposure to payroll, ideally in a similar team leader role
• Proficient in payroll software and MS Office applications
• Understanding of payroll-related laws, regulations, and statutory requirements
• Experience in resolving payroll discrepancies and address employee queries
• Exposure to handling complex payroll scenarios, such as overtime calculations, bonuses, deductions, and varying compensation structures

Desirable Experience

• Experience of using IRIS Professional
• Familiarity with handling different types of pay schedules, (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) and associated calculations would be beneficial
• Familiarity with integrating payroll systems with other HR and accounting software
• Professional payroll qualifications of membership, such as CIPP

What we offer:

Salary: £28,000-£30,000pa

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours

Location: Livingston (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
