A well-established and reputable accountancy practice based in Beverley is currently recruiting for a Senior Payroller to join their growing payroll bureau on a permanent basis. On offer is a competitive salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience (inclusive of study support, if required), along with 28 days holiday and free on-site parking in Beverley – available for weekend use too.
As the Senior Payroller, your role will include (but not be limited to):
Managing a portfolio of 300+ payroll clients from varying sectors and sizes
Processing end-to-end weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls accurately and efficiently
Handling statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP, and holiday pay calculations
Managing auto-enrolment and workplace pension submissions
Submitting RTI (Real Time Information) returns and processing BACS payments
Preparing P45s, P60s, P11Ds, and handling payroll queries
Processing and submitting CIS returns and subcontractor verifications
Ensuring GDPR compliance across all client payroll data
Liaising directly with HMRC, pension providers, and clients to ensure smooth service delivery
To be successful in this Senior Payroller position, you should ideally have:
Solid experience in a payroll role – bureau, practice, or multi-client environment preferred
Strong working knowledge of payroll software and BACS systems
The ability to manage multiple payrolls to tight deadlines, staying calm under pressure
Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation, including pensions and CIS
Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
A dynamic, proactive, and client-focused approach

Full-time hours: 8.30am – 5.00pm (with 1-hour lunch).
4-day working week considered (excluding Mondays, Tuesdays, or Fridays).
