Trainee Payroll Administrator

What you'll be doing:
Supporting the Payroll team with processing monthly payroll across the group
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data is up to date
Assisting with new starter and leaver administration
Responding to payroll queries from employees and clients
Supporting statutory reporting, including PAYE, National Insurance and pension contributions
Keeping up to date with all relevant payroll changes and legislation
Reconciling the relevant payroll bank accounts
Sending payslips (either electronically or in the post)
What we're looking for:
A keen interest in payroll and a desire to build a long-term career in this area
Strong attention to detail with good numerical and IT skills, particularly Excel
A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Previous payroll or finance experience is a bonus — but not essential, we're happy to develop the right person
