Trainee Payroll Administrator 

Location:  Leicester (hybrid working)

What you'll be doing: 

  • Supporting the Payroll team with processing monthly payroll across the group 

  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data is up to date 

  • Assisting with new starter and leaver administration 

  • Responding to payroll queries from employees and clients 

  • Supporting statutory reporting, including PAYE, National Insurance and pension contributions 

  • Keeping up to date with all relevant payroll changes and legislation 

  • Reconciling the relevant payroll bank accounts 

  • Sending payslips (either electronically or in the post) 

 

What we're looking for: 

  • A keen interest in payroll and a desire to build a long-term career in this area 

  • Strong attention to detail with good numerical and IT skills, particularly Excel 

  • A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn 

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion 

  • Previous payroll or finance experience is a bonus  but not essential, we're happy to develop the right person
