Remote, with potential travel to UKAT centres as required

We are looking for a proactive and ambitious HR Assistant to join our growing business and play a key role in supporting the development of our People function. Key Responsibilities

  • Onboarding Excellence: Lead the onboarding process, issuing documentation and coordinating pre-employment checks to ensure a positive first impression for new joiners.
  • HR & Payroll Support: Act as the first point of contact for employee queries regarding pay, benefits, and contract changes. Process all mid-month variations, such as overtime, bonuses, and salary increases.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain HR systems and employee records with 100% accuracy, ensuring full compliance and confidentiality.
  • Compliance & Safer Recruitment: Assist with essential safer recruitment checks, references, and documentation in line with policy requirements.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyse HR metrics and reports to support operational decision-making.
  • Growth & Development: Support learning and development activities, training coordination, and the continuous improvement of HR processes.


What We Are Looking For

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven Experience: Previous experience in Payroll and HR administration.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Google IT packages (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
  • Compliance Mindset: Familiarity with safer recruitment practices.
  • Organisational Flair: Ability to manage multiple deadlines with high attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets Skills: Ability to use VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and formulas to manage large datasets and reconcile payroll variances.


Desirable Criteria:

  • CIPD Qualified: Level 3 qualification.
  • Sector Knowledge: Experience working within a CQC-regulated environment.
