HR Assistant, North of Carlisle, Full time, £25,000

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a first point of contact for HR queries, providing timely and effective responses
- Process monthly payroll and support transactional HR activities
- Maintain accurate personnel records in compliance with data protection legislation
- Support end-to-end recruitment and selection processes
- Assist with implementation and development of HR systems
- Support absence management and provide data analysis for HR decision-making
The Ideal Candidate
- GCSE Grade A-C (Maths and English) essential
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant area preferred but not essential
- Experience in HR administration and transactional HR processes including payroll
- Knowledge of key HR functions and basic employment legislation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong IT skills including proficiency in MS Office
- Organised with keen attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines
