We are currently looking for an individual to undertake an Apprenticeship programme: Payroll Administrator L3 so:
1. Do you have Maths and English C/5 or above or equivalent i.e. functional skills?
2. Would like a career in Finance and Payroll?
3. Are you a people person with a passion for numbers?
4. Are you looking to train in a role that is both rewarding and challenging?
5. Do you enjoy problem solving?
6. Are you looking to kick start a career in Finance
If the answer to those questions is YES, then Harsco Rail maybe the employer you are looking for as we are excited to be looking for an apprentice to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Payroll Administrator, you will learn how to process end to end payroll, calculate statutory deductions, respond to payroll queries and work towards a CIPP accreditation, you will also undertake training within the Finance Department on areas which support your areas of learning.

Responsibilities/Tasks
  • Reporting to the Payroll Administrator, you will be trained to offer the following service and be supported by a mentor and a training provider:
  • End to end payroll processing
  • Calculations for statutory deductions; PAYE, NI, PPL
  • Pension submissions and auto-enrolments
  • Development of technical payroll solutions within the team
  • Supporting the payroll manager
  • Responding to and resolving payroll related queries
  • Administrative duties
Training and Qualification

pon successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded an Advanced Apprenticeship in Payroll Administration (Accredited by CIPP) and the Company will support the funding for the accreditation to the CIPP

The apprentice programme is delivered via a blend of tutor led workshops and On-Demand learning via the CIPP online learning platform.

Progression

There is a full-time / part time opportunity available at the end of the apprenticeship for someone who can demonstrate technical competence, initiative and a willingness to learn along the way.
