Opportunity for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join the UK division of a leading £300m t/o European Group that’s on track to grow to £500m in 3 years through organic and acquisitive growth.  

  • Working in a Payroll team of 2, reporting to the Payroll Manager.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of the organisation’s weekly & monthly payroll.
  • Supporting the Payroll Manager in ensuring all payroll procedures are completed.
  • Ensuring that all employee's details are kept accurate and up to date.
  • Helping employees with any pay-related queries.
  • Maintain the payroll processing system and records, ensuring all data is collated, calculated, and reported correctly.
  • Calculate and input payroll data including wages, deductions, overtime, pensions, and statutory payments.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll policies, HMRC requirements, PAYE, NIC, pensions, CSA, and attachment of earnings regulations.
  • Manage the pension enrolment process ensuring all requirements and regulations are met.  
Applicants will ideally be Part Qualified or Qualified CIPP payroll professionals although payroll experience is more important than qualification level. You should have a minimum of 2 years payroll experience and will have up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation, pension regulations, and HMRC reporting requirements. ADP payroll systems experience would be advantageous. A salary of £35k is complimented with benefits including 5% pension, healthcare, 25 days holidays (plus BHs), onsite parking and hybrid working (4 days office: 1 day home). Applicants must also have full and indefinite eligibility to work in the UK (through being a UK citizen or having gained ILR) and should live within a sensible commute of Haydock.
