  POSITION DETAILS: Position Title: Payroll and Benefits Specialist Reports to (POSITION): Payroll & Benefits Manager Team: Payroll & Benefits Department: Admin Grade (If Applicable):     PURPOSE OF JOB: (OVERALL DESCRIPTION OF THE POST WITHIN THE TEAM AND ORGANISATION) To provide full payroll function to employees and work closely with the Payroll & Benefits Manager and HR to process relevant documentation to ensure completion of tasks on time and without error.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To process Bytes Software Services payroll and ensure all documentation is accurate and completed in sufficient time for payroll processing. This includes (but is not limited to) working with the Payroll & Benefits Manager to ensure that commission structures, pay plans and commission payments are processed correctly Assisting with HR duties related to payroll changes and pay deductions or adjustments. To provide highly effective pay related processing and support for employees, support and engagement with finance and management at Bytes. INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Payroll collation and processing: Tracking and inputting data as its received Managing spreadsheets to ensure data is accurate Liaising with benefit providers on deductions and pay changes Liaising with HR and managers on sickness, parental leave and unpaid leave Processing payroll reports and reconciling pay elements Processing the monthly payroll after all checks have been made Processing starters and leavers, checking data submission, tax status and payments due Fulfilling third-party requirements within monthly pay cycle Assisting Payroll & Benefits Manager in calculation of employees’ monthly commission/OTE payments Manage employee personal information, job or remuneration changes Dealing with payroll and benefits enquiries, and supporting employees     QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: (DELETE AS REQUIRED IF ESSENTIAL OR DESIRABLE, REMOVE UNNECESSARY REQUIRENENTs) Educational Qualifications: English Language & Grammar (assessed via skill check) Maths (assessed via skill check) ESSENTIAL Professional Qualifications CIPP Payroll Training or Qualification  DESIRABLE Years of Experience 1 year in a Payroll position ESSENTIAL Other Requirements Strong competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook On the job training will be provided along with systems training ESSENTIAL   CORE Competencies & SKILLS – BASED ON POSITION AND GRADE (IF APPLICABLE) (INCLUDE CORE COMPETENCIES & SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION BASED ON THE GRADE) Trustworthy & discreet, showing deep integrity and awareness when working with sensitive data Able to work to deadlines, time management, prioritisation Articulate and confident in their knowledge Team player Attention to detail Methodical, multi-tasker Forward thinking – growth mindset, inquisitive with willingness to learn and challenge the status quo
