Choose a career with us and make a difference.

We're looking for a Reward and Benefits Analyst  to join our People & Culture team in a role that blends technical expertise, insight, and purpose. This is a key position supporting how we design, analyse and continuously improve pay, benefits and recognition across the Society.

You'll bring specialist technical knowledge around key areas connected to the compensation cycle. You will be at the heart of shaping and influencing what we need to do as a Society to ensure our reward and benefits offering is competitive, compliant, equitable and meaningful.

This is more than a typical Business Analyst role. While analytical strength is critical, what's equally important is your hands-on experience in reward, with a deep understanding of data specifications and the nuances across different compensation and benefit types.

  • Working hours: 35 hours - Monday - Friday.
  • This is a hybrid role, based at either our London (Blackfriars) or Horsham office. We ask for around one day per month in the office, with flexibility around you and the needs of the role.

Our recruitment journey - key dates for you to note:

Here's what the process looks like, no surprises, just a friendly guide:

  1. Application
You'll be asked to answer a few questions to give us a sense of your experience, skills, and potential.
  2. Panel Interview
If your application is successful, you'll be invited to a panel interview with the Hiring Manager and the Senior Reward Specialist,  This is a chance to:
  • Share more about what you've done and what you're proud of
  • Ask questions about the role, team, and impact you could make
  • Show off your skills and behaviours in a relaxed, supportive setting.

What a day might look like for you:

This is a valuable role in the Society and you will bring essential knowledge and experience leaning into compensation, pay and equity, and benefits.

For the full details, please refer to the job description. In summary, you will:

  • Provide expert insight and guidance on pay issues affecting the Society and wider charitable sector
  • Lead on data analysis to ensure internal and external equity
  • Using data as a storyteller - bringing data to life, creating insights and making compelling recommendations that influence strategic decisions
  • Lead on Diversity reporting, including the annual data pay gap analysis, narrative development and action planning
  • Lead and Management of the Society's job evaluation process to include participating in job evaluations and discussions
  • Develop and refine pay award modelling to support sustainable and fair decision-making
  • Partner with third-party insurance brokers and pension trustees, using data to inform decision making
  • Create benefit dashboards, sharing data insights to support market renewals

This is a role where your expertise will directly influence the colleague's experience.

What will help you succeed in this role:

We know no one meets every requirement perfectly. If you have most of the experience below and are excited about the role, we encourage you to apply.

You'll bring:

  • Specialist experience in total reward (pay, benefits, pensions, recognition)
  • Advanced data analytics, data validation and modelling capability
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience designing and developing pay award models
  • Experience with job evaluation, job families and benchmarking
  • Confidence extracting, interpreting and presenting data for varied audiences (including brokers and pension trustees)
  • Experience working on employee benefits, pensions, recognition
  • Knowledge of creating a pay award model in an organisation
  • Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset
  • A commitment to fairness, equity and inclusive reward practices

Most importantly, you'll care deeply about delivering a fair, effective and sustainable reward approach that supports our people.
