Job Description – Payroll Executive
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Contract Terms: Part Time
THE JOB
As a member of the Finance Team, you will be interacting with all our Employees, and within the local and Global business to ensure that all our employee payments are reconciled and paid in a timely fashion. You will also be working with the Finance team to ensure all payroll accounts are reconciled in a timely fashion and outstanding queries resolved.
We are not looking for just ‘a numbers person’, but someone who is passionate about solving employee issues and can uncover the root cause of issues as they arise. The role requires an eye for detail and will be varied and involve working with a range of internal and external data sets, as well as building relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.
The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient keen to learn about working in a Finance Dept, and thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Knowledge or passion of multiple payroll systems is a plus.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Payroll
Preparation of weekly and monthly payrolls including checking the BO/OT payments, holiday/sick day record keeping and printing and distribution of payslips
Weekly and monthly reconciliations of payroll reports and preparation of payroll Journals for Finance posting
Monthly pension report to the pension provider, reconciliation of PHI and VHI payments
Preparation of monthly Headcount and other reports to Corporate HQ
Upload of Tax data to Revenue systems
Setting up of payments on internet banking system
Preparation of payroll related Revenue and CSO returns in time with payments
HR/Administration
Responsible for updating and maintaining the HR related documents and HR systems
Continue to Review and Improve HR and Business Systems
Ad hoc requests as they arise
Manage the staff benefit schemes such as the health insurance, pension, bus/train pass, bike to work and eyesight exam vouchers
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
Previous experience working in a finance department and working to payroll deadlines
Experience of working in a multi-division and international company preferred.
Great teammate with strong communication and social skills
Strong attention to detail and knowledge of Payroll basics
Highly motivated and dynamic – ability to work to deadlines and achieve targets in a time-conscious manner
Previous knowledge working with payroll systems and Excel required.
