About The Role

Knight Frank is looking to hire a Payroll Officer to work within the UK Payroll team based at our head office at 55 Baker Street, London.

Role:

The Payroll Officer will be an integral part of the UK payroll team, handling activity for several payrolls across a wide and varied workforce. The role will be a focal point for pay-related process and queries, supporting employees, salaried members and partners to the business, responding with clarity, empathy and professionalism. The role also handles day-to-day process transactions, checking of all payroll activity through payments and deductions, through to reporting management information and adhering to payroll and HMRC regulatory requirements. The role offers an excellent opportunity providing subject matter expertise and will be empowered to developing and streamlining payroll processes for the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Starter & Leavers - checking new starter details and managing the leaver process.
  • Employee Support – Answering employee payroll queries, providing clear communication and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensuring adherence to payroll legislation, HMRC regulations, and auto-enrolment pension requirements.
  • Checking and preparing timesheets for hourly paid staff.
  • Checking NLW and pension for hourly paid staff.
  • Data preparation/entry onto the payroll system for all variables: starters, leavers, transfers, salary increases, commission, bonuses, pensions, timesheets, cars, season ticket loans, tax codes, bank details, introductory fees, jury service, student loan, BUPA and cycles.
  • Responsible for the administration of the Childcare scheme, including, Basic Earning Assessments.
  • Producing the monthly reconciliation between the payroll system and the monthly online childcare voucher scheme.
  • Responsibility and administration for SSP and OSP schemes.
  • Assisting with the monthly RTI process.
  • Producing paperwork for the month end payments, such as court orders and GAYE.
  • Assisting with month end reports for Management Accounts.
  • Producing month end budget reports for the finance team.

Key Experience Required:

  • CIPP Qualified
  • 5 year’s payroll experience
  • Word and Excel Skills (essential)
  • SAP experience (desirable)
  • Workday experience (desirable)
  • Exposure to the Auto Enrolment process (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Pro-active and self-motivated
