What’s the role about?

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of the UK and International pay function at Reiss. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate, efficient, and compliant delivery of pay services, while helping to drive continuous improvement across processes and systems.

This role is responsible for the ownership of the UK Retail pay cycle and supporting international operations, working closely with Finance, People, Retail Operations, and third-party providers to deliver high-quality, compliant pay services across multiple locations.

Who you are

  • Proven experience processing UK Retail payroll, ideally within a multi-site environment of similar scale.
  • Experience supporting international payrolls and working with third-party providers to agreed SLAs.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation, pensions, statutory payments, and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience preparing payroll journals, accruals, and detailed reports.
  • Experience using SAP SuccessFactors or similar integrated HR/payroll systems.
  • Commercially aware, with retail sector experience highly desirable.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with a track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable building relationships with key stakeholders and supervising others.
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills, able to prioritise and work accurately under pressure.

What you’ll be doing

  • Take ownership of the UK Retail payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.
  • Support the accurate processing of international payrolls, maintaining third-party SLA requirements.
  • Prepare and submit weekly retail hours and cost reporting to Finance within agreed deadlines.
  • Create payroll journals, reports, and accruals, ensuring timely and accurate submission to Finance.
  • Ensure all statutory and voluntary deductions are calculated and paid to relevant bodies on time.
  • Assist with year-end processes, including the preparation and distribution of P11Ds.
  • Review and improve payroll processes and systems, identifying and implementing service efficiency enhancements.
  • Act as a key point of contact for payroll queries, resolving issues, liaising with Retail Operations, and deputising for the Payroll Manager when required.
