Senior Payroll Coordinator

The Role

As Group Payroll Officer, you will work as part of a small and close-knit team and play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the groups payroll functions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Precision Payroll: Managing monthly payroll cycles, ensuring all data from internal time and attendance systems is captured correctly and processed on time.

  • HR Partnership: Collaborating with the HR team to manage the full employee lifecycle, including new starters, leavers, and salary adjustments, while ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment.

  • Compliance & Payments: Preparing and submitting BACS, PAYE, and pension payments, ensuring all statutory deadlines are met with complete confidentiality.

  • Reporting: Producing essential payroll reports, manpower analysis, and year-end summaries to support the wider management team.

  • Professional Support: Acting as a helpful and knowledgeable point of contact for employee queries, ensuring a high level of service across the group.

The Person

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented professional who can balance technical expertise with a friendly, collaborative approach. To be successful, you will have:

  • Numerical Accuracy: Strong mathematical skills and a high level of attention to detail.

  • Payroll Expertise: Proven experience operating payroll software and a solid understanding of current legislation.

  • Effective Communication: The ability to explain payroll matters clearly and professionally to colleagues at all levels.

  • Reliability: A trustworthy nature with a proven track record of handling sensitive data with discretion.

  • IT Proficiency: Strong Excel skills and experience working with time management systems.
