We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join our finance team.

Please note this role will commence Monday 2nd March.

Role Overview:

The Payroll Administrator manages the end-to-end payroll process for an organisation. This role ensures accurate calculation, processing, and distribution of employee wages, benefits, deductions, and taxes, while maintaining compliance with labour laws and company policies.

The Payroll Administrator serves as a key point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and works closely with HR, Finance, and external agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Work together with other payroll administrators to process payroll for group companies
  • Processing payroll on weekly/monthly basis
  • Administration of payroll system and data, including starters, leavers, pay reviews, allowances, absence, loan deductions
  • Administration of all Attachment of Earnings
  • Administration of company cars as it applies to payroll
  • Production of monthly reports for Finance
  • Maintain the employee sick records including CSP and SSP
  • Point of call for all payroll queries
  • Monthly HMRC submissions of FPS
  • Preparation of payments to all 3rd parties for AoE for Finance
  • Year end procedures, including P60 production and distribution
  • Leaver procedures including issuing of P45’s
  • P11d production together with the Finance team
  • Payroll reconciliations together with the Finance team
  • Liaise with HR team where required re employee data (especially for new starters)
  • Administration of Auto Enrolment Company/Group Pension Schemes
  • Submitting monthly returns to the pension providers
  • Notify pension providers of new starters
  • Liaise with pension providers re opt out/opt in choices of employees
  • Liaise with Finance to ensure payment to pension providers are made
  • Engage with pension providers re any changes to schemes
  • Adhoc pension queries from employees
  • Liaise with company Finance Manager re any pension queries where required
  • Set up of new starters
  • Review of expense claims, auditing
  • Flag claims as audited once done

You Will Need:

  • Proven experience in similar role (4 years+ experience in Payroll/accounts department)
  • Strong understanding of payroll related principles.
  • Robust Microsoft Excel skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Employment Hero software (preferable)
  • Document scanning & invoice approval software.
